In honor of our dear friend’s twins we all pulled together and created a lovely baby shower brunch featuring fresh eucalyptus branches and succulents.A delicate floret graced each place setting along with crisp watercolor paper for sharing encouragement and best wishes. Each guest was gifted with a little succulent terrarium to take home.
By buying the succulents as full plants at Sprouts we were able to intermingle the branches throughout the event. Those who contributed food were asked to bring brunch themed-delicacies in white dish-ware Linen tablecloths and natural elements were perfect complements.
A photo garland of the honored family and three older siblings were printed and hung on twine.
Mimosas, tea and infused water.Guests mingled and enjoyed each other’s company. A simple, low key celebration with the perfect combination of delicious food and beautiful surroundings.
“Lost doesn’t mean alone.” A Lost Boys from Neverland theme, with other hints of themes from Peter Pan. We celebrated my nephew Remington’s first birthday with a backyard dinner and treasure hunt.
Families ventured around the backyard, following clues to a treasure chest full of goodies for the kids to play with.
Peter Pan, pirates, fairies and deer all showed up to the party.
Along with Lost boys of course!Lost boy on the run!“To live would be an awfully big adventure”
Felt feather garlands dressed up an A-frame tent as well as……the “cake-smashing” highchair.Lost boy’s rulez! I was surprised to find it so difficult to write inconsistently…… so what’s the best way to get a child’s handwriting? Have a child write it! A wooden directions sign was specially created by Remington’s Grandpa and 5yr old cousin for the occasion.
This stellar cake was specially made for the birthday boy, with lost boy silhouettes surrounding a leafy lantern design. The kids all requested to eat the leaves which I found to be quite fitting for the occasion. 😉
With Tootles, Slightly,Chubby, the Twins,
Happy Birthday Remington!
My dear cousin thought of the most awesome party theme for her little lumberjack’s first birthday. With everything from plaid tablecloths, chili lunch to toys, and games for the kids, to a burnt log birthday cake, this party was truly phenomenal.
It was such a pleasure to be a part of the planning and coordinating of her vision for her son’s first birthday. Happy first, nephew Cooper!
Is this not the most perfect picture? Silly little wild thing 🙂 The entire event was beautifully captured by Nic Dudek Photo. Her images are absolutely amazing and having her at the party was so much fun; she captured every little moment with ease. The children and adults alike thoroughly enjoyed her company.
On to the festivities!
Guests were greeted at the door with a cute chalkboard sign and a basket of lumberjack axes,
followed by a trail mix bar (with gift boxes to take some home),and a pop-up log cabin with coloring pages and wooden pencils for the kids!
The guests were then encouraged to find a seat and help themselves to a delicious chili bar!
Just don’t feed the bears! Lol.
The handsome little mountain man took pictures with everyone and played the entire time, while all eagerly awaited…
Look at these phenomenal cakes!
A banana “pancake” cake for Cooper to dig into after a quick chorus of “Happy Birthday.” And a fabulous burnt log cake for the rest of us to enjoy!
Check out that plaid!
We tasted both cakes and they were nothing short of delicious.
At the party’s end, after Cooper opened all his gifts and was wished the happiest of birthdays, we all agreed that the party was a big success.
Happy birthday sweet boy!
A simple, sophisticated evening of celebration, laughter and great food. I have to say this is one of my favorite events to date. Mindy knew exactly what she wanted and solicited my help to bring her dream into reality. Now I’ll let the photos speak for themselves… dreamy.
Guests signed up for toasts; having a physical sign up sheet helped the evening flow more smoothly. A basket full of blankets kept guests warm as the night drew on and became a little chilly.
My favorite place to be: behind the scenes making sure everything runs beautifully.
I had phenomenal help by the talented Taylor, as she free-hand wrote much of the chalkboard calligraphy throughout the party. And not only that but she and her fiancee helped manage the entire event; they definitely made the evening run perfectly! Check out her Instagram @impressionprints

Crisp Autumn air, warm and richly colored fall decor, friends, family and Thanksgiving. What’s not to love about November?
This year I hosted an intimate gathering of close friends to share our thanksgivings over a warm meal and sparkling drinks.
And yes, tis’ mid-November and the afternoons are still warm enough to leave the front door open for a while…
Trust me, I would very much love to be lighting a fire and dawning layers of scarves, but alas – this is Phoenix.
Grapevine wreaths make for a simple seasonal decor, and we just added a touch of felt acorns and bronze colored “berries.” I think I’ll just add some boughs of holly in a day or two, and my Christmas decor will be well underway!
As always, vines make for great additions to any season.
Cocktail garnish and Pinterest recipes to follow.
And a delicious apple pumpkin bunt cake for dessert.
The simple yet elegant table spread featured our favorite linen tablecloth and my grandma’s vintage silverware.

We bid the summer adieu with a Sunshine and Sprinkles BaBy-Q!
Yes, it’s still hot and summery here in Phoenix, even in the middle of October–and trust me, we’d all appreciate some “fall” weather! But for this occasion, the bright yellow sun followed by a fiery red sunset was the perfect backdrop.
And for the perfect invitation? We turned to VintageLeeCrafted where Amanda personalized her beautiful yellow-and-grey invitation to meet our request. I particularly love her wine labels – what a great idea for making announcements or a personal request. With the winter holidays fast approaching, check out my favorite label.
Guests were greeted at the door with this sweet and simple request. I love the idea of using a classic children’s book for the guest book! It’ll be read throughout the years and always remind him of everyone’s love.
Prizes for the diaper raffle were sent to us from Sendabox.
What a brilliant idea this is–sending a “box of sunshine” as a gift, a get-well present, to welcome a baby, or just because. For this occasion I split the contents of the original box into two prize boxes for the winners. Jen is currently working on opening her own business website, I will post the link when it is launched, for now you can send your requests directly to her at: email@example.com
Dinner was preluded with a chalkboard menu and BBQ sauce party favors!
These adorable little bottles and custom labels were created by SouthernStickers. I’ve had my eye on these for some time now, and was thrilled to be able to feature them before the summer’s end.
Our Sunshine and Sprinkles theme came to its height at the buffet table, with tissue paper pompoms as the sun, sky and clouds. I added some raindrops from my previous sprinkle shower.
Cozette turned three this September, and three things this little girl absolutely loves include Bubbles, Blue and Sweets.
With that in mind I aimed to throw a party that was both fun & classy. Enter Bubbles & Tiffany’s!
Unfortunately a key package was delayed due to a slip up at the post office. This created a major setback in the aesthetic aspect of my party, as well as all my plans…
After a lot of stressing over the weekend, I finally came up with a wonderful solution: We split the party into two events! First we enjoyed a backyard Bubble Bash. Then two days later, once the missing items were finally delivered, we all relaxed with a Porch-Top Tiffany Soiree. Both were fabulous parties with double the fun. It just goes to show that even if your dream party appears to be evaporating before your eyes, the party is truly for the guests. Their simple presence, along with the infectious joy and laughter that comes with children running around and having fun, makes even the simplest party a fabulous celebration!
That said, I’m honored to be featuring the contributors for Cozette’s third birthday celebration that made the party such a success!
Gorgeous scripted “Happy Birthday Cozette” topper and Tiffany boxes were sent to us from ChiqueDesign. They added such an elegant touch to the party.
Since the party was a late brunch, I opted out of a traditional birthday dessert. Breakfast sweets and plentiful fruit made for a light yet satisfying meal.
We filled the little Tiffany Boxes with adorable tiaras and necklaces. Even after a long morning of chasing bubbles and sitting in sandboxes these little girls still looked classy and fabulous.
Sweets! Glassy blue lollipops made by SherrieCoreDesigns, beautiful to look at and tasty to eat!
Cosette can’t get enough of this sugary goodness 😉
VirtuousWomenShop provided bottles of homemade sweet aroma-filled bubble bath. Cozette’s love of bubbles began with her very first bubble bath. Ever since her party, she yells, “Blue bubbles!” every time she takes a bath!
Tiffany blue bubble wands by BiggerBetterBubbles1 included a secret recipe for these amazing giant bubbles! Check out their shop and help support 9-year-old Riley’s summer camp fund 🙂
Even the little ones gave it a shot. Like father, like son.
Thank goodness the Dads were there! They kept the kids entertained for hours with their slick bubble-making skills, while the Mamas and Little Ones relaxed in the shade and took it all in.
I finally did it! Saved up enough plastic square bottles to make kids’ cups for the party. I drilled a hole in the cap and collected enough blue straws to match. They were perfect, a real party favorite, and cost practically nothing.
The amazing, giant confetti-filled balloon, complete with a color-themed tassel, was sent to us by PinkPoodlesofParis, a shop stocked full of balloons, confetti and more. You’ll see more of her balloons in the Tiffany & Bubbles party post!
A delicious spread, complete with coffee, milk and a sparkling punch.
Don’t forget to check out the second half of this “Tiffany’s & Bubbles” birthday soiree!
