1st Birthday Party: Nautical Summer Fun for Clark

What to do when you live in the hottest state in the country and your little one’s birthday is in August? With triple digit heat, this Momma capitalized on cooler morning temps by offering breakfast treats, & picked a location with a splash pad for guests to both join in the nautical fun & cool off.
Alright Mate, ready to hop aboard the S.S. Clark?

Along with some “sea themed” sweets (salt water taffy, pearlized gumballs, sprinkle topped rice krispie treats), the buffet table offered fresh watermelon pops, sugarless apple spice cupcakes with orange cream cheese frosting, “life saver” powdered donuts, bagels & cream cheese, and icy cold milk. A yummy summer breakfast for sea fairing celebrators.

Birthday decor featured a combination of burlap, ivory white, orange & blues.  Sea nets, sea creatures, buckets, & little anchors for a sweet little man. All printables (like the adorable welcome sign above) came from Honey Bash’s nautical birthday collection–Clark’s Mom (& party planner) said Honey Bash was fabulous to work with! Food labels, cupcake wrappers, toothpick rounds, & signs : )

Best parts of the day? A brand new one year old scooping handfuls of icing off of his very own cake, and a water balloon fight with all his closest friends and family celebrating his big day.
Happy 1st Birthday Clark!

Those kids have to be the cutest ever. The hostess is so darn clever. Maybe I’m just a tad partial, being the Grandma and Mother. 🙂
