Recipes: Superbowl Dips

4 days and counting till that beautiful day of chicken wings, bean dip, and funny commercials! Oh, and I guess there’s football too. We’ve collected some of our favorite, yummiest, tried and true dip recipes to share while your prepping for your super bowl get together.

Chihuahua Cheese Dip:
1 – 8 oz grated sharp cheddar cheese
1-8 oz grated Velvetta cheese
1-8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 1/2 pts sour cream
1-7 oz La Victori Jalapene Salsa-red
1-4 oz diced chiles (hot)
2 oz chopped ripe olives
2 oz chopped pimentos
1 med onion minced
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chili powder, salt and pepper to taste

*Soften cream cheese and mix well with sour cream and all other ingredients.  stir until well blended.
Great with chips, crackers …and potato topper.  Great for gifts!

 Hot Artichoke Dip
2 cans of artichoke hearts (drained and chopped)
1 cup mayo
4 cloves of crushed garlic (or about 2-3 tsp garlic powder)
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp black pepper

Mix all ingredients together & spread evenly in a baking dish
Bake 20-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
Cool slightly and served with torn french bread or tortilla chips

Jalapeno Popping Cheesy Dip
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
4 ounces sliced pickled jalapeños, drained and chopped
2 Fresno chili peppers, sliced
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

In a medium non-stick pan sauté Fresno chilies in 1 tablespoon corn oil till translucent, 4-5 minutes. Cool and chop. Set aside. Mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, sharp white cheddar, 1/2 cup Parmesan, jalapenos and sautéed Fresno chilies in a bowl. Pour into a baking dish. Mix the panko bread crumbs and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over the dip. The dip can be frozen or refrigerated at this point. Bring to room temperature or defrost before baking. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake until the sides are bubbling and the cheese has melted and turned a golden brown, about 20 minutes. Top with fresh cilantro and serve with lime tortilla chips.
